The Basics
Classroom Guidelines for Success
Families are an integral part of your child’s education. As I often go over the class guidelines for success, I would appreciate it if you could also discuss the importance of each guideline listed below. Your child will greatly benefit from having the extra reinforcement from his/her parent being involved. Thanks so much!
*Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
*One friend has the speaking floor at a time.
*Raise your hand before you speak.
*Always be respectful.
*Always try your best!
*Remember: we set the example for the younger children.

Bartkewicz Bucks!!!
GOOD BEHAVIOR IS NECESSARY TO A SUCCESSFUL LEARNING ENVIRONMENT!
In our classroom, we have an economy system. Each Friday, your child will receive a paycheck, along with his/her earnings for the week. "Pay" will be given based upon their behavior, trying his/her best, and organization. If he/she does ALL of the above, a bonus will be given. Throughout the week, the children could potentially earn EVEN MORE Bartkewicz Bucks! I always reward respect, working hard, and kind deeds toward others. Your child will have the opportunity to save up their Bartkewicz Bucks for some special intrinsic rewards such as reading to another class, being “teacher's helper” or having lunch with me!
RESPONSIBLITY
This system teaches the children valuable lessons in responsibility. They have to keep track of their money and make sure their "wallet" is in a safe place at all times. They also learn to save for things that are of importance to them. Also, they need to be very careful with their earnings. If they lose money, it will not be replenished because if we lose money, the bank will not give more to us! All life lessons! :)

You Rock Jar!
Our class works together as a team to add rocks to our "You Rock!" Jar. Receiving compliments and acting as a strong unit are ways to get rocks added. When our jar is filled, we earn a class treat, including a dance party, pizza for lunch, or a special themed day.
Kreamer Kingdom
Kreamer Kingdom has arrived! Every student and staff member has been assigned to one of our four houses. The purpose of having four houses is to build strong relationships among students and staff members, motivate students to work hard and exhibit good character at all times, and reward students for their achievements.
Each of the four houses represents special characteristics and our hope is that the students will embrace the character traits as a member of their house. The entire school staff will be awarding points to students for demonstrating positive character traits.
Here is some information on each house:
The entire school staff will be awarding points to students for demonstrating positive character traits. At the end of each trimester the house with the most points will be part of a huge celebration during school hours. Students will have many ways to earn points for their houses throughout their day at Kreamer Street. The bulletin board in the main hallway will be updated weekly with the house points. After each trimester the points for each house will reset to 0 so that another house can try to earn a celebration.
The students will use their house shirts from last year. You will have the opportunity to purchase more shirts during the school year. We will be having special house events on Thursdays so please send your child to school in their house shirt/color every Thursday.
